Represented by Stephan Oehl and Markus Pfiffner
Email: info@smart2results.com

2. General

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, for example to visitors from the EU, we also comply with it. This policy describes which data is collected when you visit smart2results.com, what we use it for and what rights you have.

We process data to operate the website and to answer your enquiries. If you consent, we also analyse how the website is used with Google Analytics (see section 6). We do not sell any data and do not use Google Analytics here for personalised advertising.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. STRATO processes the data in data centres in Germany on our behalf and only in accordance with our instructions.

4. Server log files

Each time the website is accessed, the server automatically stores information that your browser transmits:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • date and time of the request
  • page or file accessed and amount of data transferred
  • website from which you came to us (referrer)
  • browser type and version, and operating system

We need this data to deliver the website, to keep it secure and to find errors. We do not combine it with other data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are only kept for as long as these purposes require and are then deleted.

5. Encryption

The website can only be accessed in encrypted form via HTTPS (TLS). This means that third parties cannot read data you send to us, for example via the contact form.

6. Cookies and storage in your browser

Without your consent, we do not load Google Analytics and do not set any analytics or advertising cookies. You can also use the whole website if you choose ‘Reject’.

In your browser’s local storage, we remember your choice regarding web analytics for 180 days and, if you use the switch, whether you have paused the motion on the page. A cookie notice saved earlier does not count as consent to web analytics. These necessary settings remain on your device. If you choose a language at the top of the page, we remember this choice in the cookie s2r-sprache; your browser sends it along so that the home page opens in this language, and it expires one year after your last visit. Without this choice, the language of the home page follows your browser’s language setting. These settings serve to respect your choice (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Google Analytics 4 (optional statistics)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, an analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It tells us, for example, which pages are visited, where visits come from and which browsers and devices are used. It records usage events, technical device and browser information, approximate location information and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. Your IP address is processed technically when the connection is made; according to Google, IP addresses of users in the EU and Switzerland are not logged or stored in Analytics.

For this purpose, the cookies _ga and _ga_VCRR9S0PGF are set to distinguish browsers and sessions. We limit their lifetime to a maximum of 180 days; your browser may delete them earlier. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off in the embedded website tag. We do not pass any content from your contact form to Google Analytics.

The legal basis for this optional analysis and for storing the analytics cookies is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG, where applicable). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of every page and ‘Reject’. Web analytics then stops and the Analytics cookies of this website named above are removed. Processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Usage data is transmitted to Google. Processing by Google LLC in the USA is also possible. Google describes its international transfers and safeguards in its privacy policy. Further information: Data and privacy in Google Analytics.

Only people who manage the website as editors and log in for that purpose receive login cookies from WordPress.

7. Contact form and email

If you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, company, chosen topic and your message) in order to answer your enquiry. The form sends your details as an email to our mailbox at smart2results.com; they are not stored on the website itself.

To protect against misuse, the form checks whether a field that is invisible to people stays empty, and it limits the number of enquiries. For this purpose, we store an irreversible checksum (hash) of your IP address for a maximum of one hour. We do not use a service such as reCAPTCHA.

The legal basis is answering your enquiry and, where applicable, taking steps towards a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and your consent in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future. We delete your details once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.

8. Google Workspace email service

We receive and send our emails via Google Workspace. The provider for customers in Europe is Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. A transfer of data to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses also apply. More information: Google privacy policy.

9. Fonts, images and links

The fonts and images of this website are stored on our own server. We do not load any external Google Fonts, maps or videos. Google Analytics is only loaded after your consent, as described in section 6.

The website contains links to other services, for example to the login of Smart2Insights (smartpulse.smart2results.ai), our product websites smart2insights.de, smart2index.de and smart2security.de, LinkedIn profiles of our team and our partners, and route planning on Google Maps. Your browser only connects to the provider concerned once you click such a link; that provider’s privacy policy then applies.

10. Disclosure of data

We pass personal data on to the service providers named above insofar as this is necessary for operating the website and communicating with you, you have consented to the web analytics described, or we are legally obliged to do so.

11. Data security

We protect the website and your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, for example encryption, up-to-date software and restricted access rights. Nobody can guarantee complete protection on the internet.

12. Your rights

You have the right to information about the data stored about you, to correction, erasure and restriction of processing, to receive or transfer your data, and the right to object to processing and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise these rights, write to us at info@smart2results.com.

You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU with the data protection authority of your place of residence or work.

13. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
